A Little Random

I feel like I have been MIA lately! For the first time in many weeks I actually had time to sit down, surf some blogs and check out what is going on with everyone! Nothing like a good blog surfing session. ha Well as always, there is a lot of fast paced action for us over here. Here are some things that have gone on lately:
  • Craig decided to apply for Podiatry school! I must say I have never been more excited for him. I think this career path fits him perfectly and I know he will excel in whatever he does.
  • To follow the one before, he got interviews in Ohio, California & Glendale! Wow I am so excited but not excited to move far away from family. I think Craig likes the thought of going to Ohio but I just don't know about that one...
  • I finished my long clinical/hospital rotation at Scottsdale Healthcare! Victory!
  • I then headed on to working at the Arizona Department of Health Service where I though I would get a break, boy was I wrong! I had about 9 projects and had to write a grant.
  • Craig's Birthday March 15th, the BIG 2-5! Love that boy-
  • We celebrated our 3rd anniversary! It was great- we went to "As You Wish" & out to eat, I highly recommend that place! We had so much fun being "united" with our creative sides.
  • Our Great Grandma Carpenter passed away this last month who outlived our Grandma & Grandpa Udall who both passed away as well in the last 8 months. We miss them all! What a wonderful time to celebrate so many AMAZING people in our life.
  • We are may move this fall if Craig gets accepted into a Podiatry school? That is such a fun thought to me even though we adore our ward and neighborhood, our house is getting pretty squishy...
  • I have been giving lots of nutrition education classes to Cub Scouts, Relief Societies - I love it!
  • I planted a "pot" garden! I feel like it is my baby & I think I have been paying too much attention to it because my dad said I am over watering it.... whoops! I have 2 bell peppers growing so far & its so fun to watch it's progress. I am trying to be "self-reliant":) Although I am pretty sure we won't be able to live off 2 bell peppers very long, I still like to "till the earth"
  • I have the cutest nephew that I have been able to watch a bit! I think it eases the desire to have kids, I seriously love him so much & appreciate Ashley being so willing to share him-
  • I got together with some of my best girl friends & we decorated the cutest cupcakes. It was so fun to see Krissi while she was in town along with the other girls. I also decided that that when I have more time I will make baking & decorating yummy things a more serious hobby of mine.

Here are some sweet pics from the past couple months-
A "partial "girls reunion with Krissi in town
I loved that Krissi could imitate Emery's exact expression! Like mother like daughter-

I have to show that Emery really is the most darling girl! It's so fun to see Kris as a mommy & she looks FANTASTIC for having a kid 3 months ago!! I really hope I look like her after I have kids.

Craig turned 25!! We had a "rock band" party to celebrate & these two really got into it- Craig even fit into his little sister's skinny jeans! Yikes!

The secret garden...

Part of the Scottsdale Healthcare Dietitian team - I feel like a tower.

Jen & I got all "gussied up" & had a night on the town, I have such beautiful sisters! It's so funny to me how different we look, we don't even look related.

My Easter cupcakes - just trying to squeeze in a little craftiness now & then

So I have to explain this last one: This is a typical night at the Mom Udall's- I am always entertained, especially by random/funny Blake. He got his old trumpet down from the attic, along with a patch (? who knowns) and started playing for us. Then everyone started reminiscing about when my mother in law bought him a trumpet case for Christmas! So sad! But way funny now- there's little taste of the cuteness of my nephew Mason at the end. I love my family & our late nights over there-

That's all of my randomness for now!

I am totally relating to you right now. I left my "babies" back in Arizona. After raising the chicks and finally getting eggs, man it was hard to leave them behind. I too had a garden that I had worked hard to raise. Sad thing. So much effort and no harvest. But...silver lining here is everything grows without much effort and the season is just ready to begin planting.

That's exciting to be thinking about where to move/go to school! Looks like fun times had by all at the Udall residence. I'm going to be a serious gardener pretty soon. :) I'm in charge of our Enrichment night tomorrow (not teaching it) and it's about square foot gardening (you should come and learn with me!). I'm excited to be a tiller of the earth.

good luck with your pot garden. We did that last year. We had a tomato plant, bell pepper and strawberries. I later found out that tomatoes need other tomato plants to help them flourish. I think we got 3 really small tomatoes but ya know what....I was so proud. ha ha
