R.D.
I finally got the R.D. behind my name or in other words, I'm a Registered Dietitian! Hurray for that. I know I already posted it on facebook and I don't mean to keep talking about it, but I just wanted to post my latest good news! Who knew 2 little letters could be so much work? I finally started studying intensely for it about 2 months ago when I decided that I just need to pick a date & get it done. It was really hard because there is so much material to cover for it. I think in general, the field of Dietetics/nutrition isn't very well known. The profession not only covers medical nutrition therapy, but food service, food science, management & counseling sections - so it took a lot of reviewing!
So anyways, I would just sit there for half a day studying for it but the last couple weeks consisted of 12 hour studying days! It was long but it gave me something to do while Craig was gone the same amount of time. Now I don't really know what to do with myself because I don't have that test on my brain 24/7! I am definitely grateful though, what a wonderful feeling it is to be test-free forever!! I am trying to focus on all the little projects I've always wanted to get do when I was in school, so that part has been really fun. I can just enjoy life, take fun trips home to AZ, bake, do crafts & prepare for our little girl, she will be here before we know it!
One more thing... A BIG thanks to everyone who has given me words of wisdom & support, listened to me talk about school/this test/or just straight up whine (i'm sure it got old:), sent me kind messages & included me in their prayers. I appreciate it so much - I really couldn't have made it to this point without the love/support of all my family, hubby & friends! Most importantly, I couldn't have gotten this far without the guidance & help from my Heavenly Father. It is so neat to look back on my life & see how much he has guided me thru each obstacle to get to this point. There have been so many little miracles & things that have fallen right into place when I just didn't know how they would.
He really does guide us in every aspect of our lives, isn't it wonderful!?

I am glad you guys are liking CA. I mentioned on my blog that my daughter and I are going to take a day trip to Disneyland tomorrow and Mace mentioned that you do the annual pass too. I know this is a stretch but if you aren't doing anything tomorrow, you should meet us there. If not, we should do it another time.

Yeah for Melissa! (If you could hear the way that sounds in my head it would include some kind of trumpet and a picture of me dancing around) I know that you have worked really hard to get that little RD behind your name. I am so excited for you and proud of you. You are a great example to me, and I just want you to know that I miss you terribly. I hope that all is going well in Cali and that you are getting to enjoy this short time that you get to have a little tiny life living inside you. Trust me, you will miss those little kicks! Love you girl!

Congrats Melissa! you deserve those two little letters you did so much hard work to get them! Hope I can be posting something similar soon!
Melissa,
CONGRATS!!! I KNOW it must feel so incredibly awesome to have it done. I know what you're saying girl--- I still have another year before graduation, but I am already starting to study for my board exam. I love hearing you say everything about having those two little initials, because I know that like you, when i can finally add R.N. to the back of my name, I know it will be AMAZING. And really - no one knows (but those of us who have done it- RD, RN, etc) how much work it takes. I am so happy for you. WAY TO GO!!!
yea Meliss! way to go girlie!
Congratulations Melissa! That's so awesome! What a wonderful accomplishment. And such perfect timing too :) Congrats.
