When me & Craig first decided to give our little girl the name Ruthie, we considered how children or even she, might say her name as a child: "Roofie Jane Udall". Now that she's here even adults call her this...and I have to admit, I don't particularly like it when they do, I don't know why? Probably because I think it makes her sound dumb in a way, like the guy on Peter Pan: Roofio (sp?) I won't call them out on it because it is kind of cute & funny, even Craig does it sometimes but most the time I correct him. It's just because I love her name, I think it is so beautiful & perfect for her little perfect self:) BUT it was SUPER CUTE a couple months ago when my dear friend's little boy Emerson said her name.
So all in all, I guess it is sometimes ok when adults say her name wrong but it is always ok when little kids do:)

This little guy is adorable by the way...I just love how he giggles about Ruthie.

haha yes your right it is pretty cute coming from a kid! Thanks for posting that, he LOVES watching videos of himself (yes just a little vain lol)! She really is so cute and i also LOVE her name!
So fun to look at your blog too! I love finding people's blogs, so I'm so glad that my email "signature" led you to mine! Haha! I've been terrible at blogging the last year going to school full-time, but I'm slowing getting back into it. I've missed it!
Ruthie is adorable. Those pictures from her 3 month photo shoot are to die for. Girls are just so dang cute, I can't stand it!
I hear you on the name thing. I've been called Sheila my whole life, though I never correct anyone, I think my real name is so much cooler!
"Roofie" by that little Emerson is pretty adorable though!
I think about the same thing- with Reed- it will be Weed!
I believe it's Rufio, Rufio, Ru-fi-oooo. Well at least she won't get called Hooker like I did. Ha.
