My dad got a herniated disc last week! Talk about painful, so it sounded like at least! I felt so bad for my dad because he is the toughest, buffest guy I know and I have never seen him so helpless. So it all started when he thought he was Heman and decided to lift a piece of a forklift up or something? His back was in sore at first but then it turned into pain and then he couldn't even sit up or get out of bed. My uncle and brother had to lift him up and get him into bed! So eventually his legs started getting numb so they took him to the hospital and he had surgery. I saw him before surgery and it was terrible! I didn't even want to stay long because I just started tearing up seeing him in pain. But after the surgery he was like a new man. I guess his herniated disc was sticking out into the spinal canal and pushing on his sciatic nerve! I am so grateful for medicine and that my Dad is ALMOST back to normal!
The Maricopa Internship Gang
So here are the girls that I will be doing the Maricopa internship with! They are all so nice and so smart so it will be cool to continue working with them! I really need to read up and review this summer and practice my espanol! I think I am going to buy the rosetta stone to practice my Spanish, I gotta get more fluent! I guess that I didn't get the memo about wearing white or pink. This was a senior lunch put on for us.

Oh to be a Bride again...
So our ward had a "Modest Fashion Show" and they asked me to do the bride gown! How fun, right? Well, it was super fun but I wish I got to wear my own dress. I will explain why I couldn't later. But Amanda let me wear hers and it was beautiful! I felt so beautiful, I think you always do when you are dressed up in a gorgeous gown. I originally signed up for the swim suit because I thought no one would want to do that one and I thought, Hey! I have a modest swim suit (with long swim shorts, I wasn't going to pull a Miss America Pageant) but I guess they didn't need anyone else. So it turned out to be so fun! Craig brought me my camera and I sneaked a pic in!
The other bride model in the ward
It's been a fun week! If I can just get thru finals!! Yikes!
The sad story about my dress: So I love my dress! And I had a good friend who asked me if she could borrow it and I was so excited. My dress did need to be fixed before I let her borrow it, the seams on the side were kind of pulling out or something, I swear i wasn't busting out of it or it wasn't too tight but I think I just moved around too much or I something, anyways I went to get it altered and told the lady to just BARELY take it in, well, she took it in quite a bit. Thus, it is a little too tight on my large ribs, but it did fit my friend perfectly! So that is one great thing. I did cry hard when I couldn't zip it up, but I realized I just needed to move on and remember the good times with my dress...

Sad day about your dress! I tried mine on a few months ago and, alas, my rib cage is wider than it was in the pre-Riley days. That looks like a fun fashion show!
What a fun activity! Cute pictures and good luck with the Spanish, the internship, and so glad your dad is doing better! Maybe we'll see you at a reception this Summer-scratch that, let's get together and hang out! Maybe we can have a triple date with Stacy and Brady (and anyone else).
I'm so glad your dad is feeling better. It sounded so rough! And you're so beautiful as a bride again!! How fun!
I would definately choose you as America's top Bridal model!
That was a fun night... and you looked gorgeous in the wedding dress whether or not it was yours! ;) It'll be so exciting to hear about all the goings-on with your internship. :) I hope your dad is recuperating well from everything. That's painful and probably worried you a bit. It's good to see that everything is working out though. Love your guts and I hope to talk to you more soon! :)
You probably wouldn't be able to fit in it anyways after having a baby. Sigh...
I just showed Payton this post today, and when he saw the pic of you in the wedding dress he said, "Caig. Petty Melissa! Yay Melissa!!" and clapped his hands while smiling so big. It was adorable!!
That is a crazy week! It was so fun going to lunch this morning we definitly have to make it a ritual. How sad about your dress, I would be so upset too even if you never have the need to wear it u still want to be able to fit in it. That's why I got lace up so no matter my size I can always loosen it up if I want to try it on. See ya tomorrow at graduation!! Crazy.
