Craig's White Coat Ceremony

So I was downloading pictures today & realized that I have a lot to cover in my posts! I think I am a little behind on some of the latest events. So if I have a lot of random posts in the near
future, that is why:)

The White Coat Ceremony

I am so proud of Craig! He is almost a month into medical school and he has been doing so well (in my book). He is such a diligent studier and never get frazzled even when there is a tremendous amount of stuff to study or a big test coming up. It is so fun to see him get so excited about what he is learning and I love to see that he enjoys what he is doing! (especially since he has a long road ahead of him of this stuff:) He tries to share it with me, I listen for a bit but then it just gets too intense to stay focused on - ha.

He had his White Coat ceremony the first week and it was really nice. The coat symbolizes that they are now professionals and are dedicating their lives to helping others. If you are wondering why they are so short, it is because they are their coats as students and they will get the longer, more professional looking coats when they graduate. The ceremony really had religious undertones to it and was all about integrity, working hard for those you serve & they incorporated God to their speeches; I enjoyed it a lot. You can tell from listening to the Dean and faculty that they really care about their students success and about providing top quality education. I feel so blessed that Craig got into this school & I know he will do great!

The came up, said their name & where they are from & someone put on their coat - simple enough.

One of my favorite pics of him, what a hot doctor...

Some of the other Podiatry students. We are so lucky to have so many good friends here. Just in the Podiatry class alone there are 10 LDS members out of 37 students, 8 of them are married. To put that in perspective there are only 5 out of all 250 of the D.O. students - Wow! What are the odds. I'm not biased to just LDS kids but they are the only ones that are married. So married = wife = friend for me! It really helps to have other "wives" to find support in.

Another fun couple who are in our same ward & complex -

Craig & the President of the American Podiatry Association

Us at the Convocation at this HUGE Baptist Church, it was really nice

The Dean of his school - he's the guy that really made Craig want to come here - He's very personable, intelligent & accomplished.
